Firm Mattresses
To prevent back pain, be sure to sleep on a mattress that has the right firmness for you. As a general rule, softer mattresses cause more back discomfort than they help relieve. Firm mattresses are generally better, but ultra-firm mattresses can be murder on your back, too. Make sure to shop around and try a lot of different mattresses to find the right one for you.
A great way to stop back pain is my laying on the floor with your feet and hips flat against the floor, your knees bent and in the air. Tuck your heels as close to your behind as they will go without causing you discomfort. Doing it this way will alleviate strain on the back more so than sitting other ways. If this does not seem to help you, try experimenting with different positions to find one that works for you.
Don’t stand slouched for anything, even chores like vacuuming. If you consistently bend over when you vacuum, chances are you will have back discomfort. Try to move a vacuum cleaner forward with the weight of leg muscles rather than using your back.
Regular Visits
If you get back injuries often, make regular visits to the chiropractor before you begin feeling pain. Regular visits can catch little issues before they become more serious.
You should never attempt to lift a box if you do not know what it contains. You could be surprised by the weight of what is inside. Don’t rely only on the picture on the box, or what is written on the box to determine what is inside.
